How to edit a PDF online
Open a PDF
Choose a document or drag it into the workspace. The file is read directly by your browser.
Add markups
Select text, arrow, dimension, rectangle, highlight or pen, then click or drag on the page.
Download
Choose Download marked PDF to create a new local copy containing your annotations.
PDF markup tools
Use arrows to point out changes, rectangles and highlights to identify areas, freehand drawing for quick reviews, and text notes for clear comments. Dimension lines use a custom label, allowing you to enter the verified measurement or drawing reference.
Private browser-based editing
The PDF and annotations remain in the active browser session. Processing and PDF creation happen locally, and downloading creates a new file without overwriting the original document.
Select, move, undo and redo
Return to Select mode to move a markup or remove it with Delete. Undo and Redo cover markup creation, movement and deletion during the current editing session.
PDF Editor limitations
This lightweight editor adds review markups over PDF pages. It does not directly rewrite existing paragraphs, edit embedded images, perform OCR, add digital signatures or calibrate drawing scale like specialist desktop construction software.

Is the CalcsBay PDF Editor free?
Yes. You can open, mark up and download PDF files without registration or payment.
Are my PDF files uploaded?
No. The editor reads and processes the selected PDF locally in your browser. CalcsBay does not intentionally upload the document to a server.
What markups can I add?
The editor supports text notes, arrows, dimension labels, rectangles, highlighted areas and freehand pen marks.
Can I edit the original PDF text?
This version adds markups over existing pages. It does not rewrite or reflow the original document text.
Will the downloaded PDF include my markups?
Yes. Download PDF embeds the visible markups into a new PDF file while leaving your original file unchanged.
