How are pay frequencies converted?
Every entered pay frequency is annualized from the selected work schedule and then divided consistently into equivalent hourly, daily, weekly, biweekly, semi-monthly, monthly, quarterly and annual figures.
How to use the Hourly to Salary Calculator
- Step 1Enter a gross pay amount and its frequency.
- Step 2Confirm hours per day, days per week, weeks per year and optional unpaid days.
- Step 3Compare all equivalent frequencies and copy the breakdown.
Formula / How it works
Annual pay = hourly rate × hours per day × days per week × weeks per year.
Example
€25 per hour at 40 hours per week for 52 weeks equals €52,000 per year.
Hourly to Salary Calculator FAQ
Are biweekly and semi-monthly pay the same?
No. Biweekly means every two weeks, normally 26 periods in a 52-week year; semi-monthly means 24 periods per year.
Does this calculate take-home pay?
No. Use the Salary After Tax Calculator for supported country-specific tax estimates.
Does unpaid leave reduce annual salary?
The tool does not silently change a contractual annual salary; treatment depends on the employment agreement.
