How salary tax works in Spain
Spanish salary deductions depend on employee Social Security, personal and family minima and the autonomous-community tax profile. The calculator accepts age, contract type, dependent children, children under three, employee disability, qualifying geographic mobility and the special impatriate election.
Income tax in Spain
The ordinary estimate applies the progressive combined IRPF schedule after Social Security and work expenses, then subtracts modeled personal, age, child and disability minima. Madrid, Catalonia and Andalusia are available as planning adjustments; the impatriate option instead uses 24% up to €600,000 and 47% above it.
Employee contributions
Permanent and fixed-term contracts use their respective unemployment rates alongside common contingencies, training and the 2026 intergenerational-equity contribution. The contribution ceiling and high-income solidarity contribution are included.
Take-home pay example
A worker with a child under three receives both the ordered descendant minimum and the under-three addition. Selecting a fixed-term contract slightly increases employee unemployment insurance without changing the child's IRPF minimum.

Spain salary calculator FAQ
Are all Spanish regional tax systems included?
The tool provides national-average, Madrid, Catalonia and Andalusia planning profiles. Basque Country and Navarre use separate foral systems and are not modeled.
What family details change the Spanish estimate?
Age, dependent-child order, children under three and qualifying employee disability affect the modeled minima. Complex custody, ascendant, maintenance and spouse situations require the official AEAT withholding calculation.
When should I enable Spain's impatriate regime?
Only after a valid election under the special inbound-worker rules. The simplified option applies the special rates but does not test relocation history, qualifying work or every statutory condition.
