Standard Business Card Sizes
Choose 3.5 × 2 inches for a common US card or 85 × 55 mm for a common European format. Square, mini and custom dimensions are useful for distinctive designs, but confirm that your printer can trim the selected size before ordering.
Bleed, Safe Area and Crop Marks
Bleed extends artwork beyond the final trim edge to prevent white slivers after cutting. Keep names, logos and contact details inside the safe area. Crop marks can help a printer identify the intended trim line on print-ready output.
What to Put on a Business Card
Include the information people need to identify and contact you: name, role, company, phone, email and website. Add an address, social profile, short tagline or QR code only when it supports the card's purpose and keeps the layout readable.
PNG, JPG or PDF?
PNG is useful for sharp digital previews and transparency-friendly workflows. JPG creates a familiar flattened image, while PDF preserves physical page dimensions. Choose the print PDF when the printer needs bleed or crop marks.
Using a QR Code on a Business Card
A QR code can open a portfolio, booking page, contact card or company website without adding a long URL. Preserve strong contrast, leave clear space around the code and test the final exported card at its intended printed size.
Private, Browser-Based Design
No account is required. Card content, uploaded images and project files are handled locally in the browser when supported, so you remain responsible for saving a project backup before clearing browser data or changing devices.
