Quick guide
How to make a meme
1. Upload an image
Choose a photo, drag it into the editor, paste it from your clipboard or start with a blank canvas.
2. Enter your text
Replace the ready-made top and bottom text, add more layers and choose a quick meme style.
3. Position it
Drag each text layer directly on the preview. Auto Fit keeps longer captions inside the canvas.
4. Download
Export a sharp PNG, JPG or WEBP file with no account and no watermark.
Free Meme Generator
Upload your own photo or begin with a blank canvas, edit ready-made top and bottom captions, then download the result. Everything needed for a recognizable meme is available immediately, while optional controls stay out of the way until you need them.
Classic meme text
Classic meme captions normally use uppercase white letters, a heavy condensed typeface and a thick black outline. That contrast keeps the words readable across both bright and dark areas of a photo. CalcsBay applies this style by default.
Meme fonts
The editor offers Impact and common system fonts plus font-family choices for open-source styles such as Anton, Oswald, Bebas Neue and Bangers. When a font is unavailable on a device, a safe bold fallback is used. CalcsBay does not redistribute a proprietary Impact font file.

What font is commonly used for memes?
Impact-style bold condensed lettering with white fill and a black outline is the classic choice. Anton, Oswald, Bebas Neue, Bangers and Arial Black can create useful alternatives.

Can I download memes as PNG?
Yes. PNG is the default format. JPG and WEBP downloads are also available with standard or high quality.
Are my uploaded images stored?
No. Image editing and export happen in your browser. This tool does not upload your image or meme text to CalcsBay servers.
